I fell in love with photography when I learned to scuba dive and started to take underwater photographs to remember all the interesting things I had seen. A great deal of my diving experiences required travel to foreign countries and that led to yet another source of exciting places and people to photograph. I still love to travel to other countries and to photograph people and places, but I realized that there are also abundant opportunities all over the United States and Northern California, where I was born and raised, to photograph.
